Our Roots
Rubberific was founded in 2007 by John Smith, a lifelong gardening enthusiast with a passion for finding innovative solutions to common landscaping problems. As a homeowner struggling to keep his garden beds free of weeds and retain moisture, John began experimenting with recycled rubber as a mulch alternative. Our Facility
Both of Rubberific’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Ohio and California are equipped to produce the highest quality recycled rubber landscaping products. Our 150,000 sq. ft factories contain proprietary machinery designed specifically for efficiently cleaning, processing and coloring recycled tire rubber.
Raw recycled rubber is carefully processed to remove all steel and synthetics before being ground and sized to specification. Our mulches pass through a triple filtration system and magnets to ensure no stray metal pieces end up in the finished product. We can produce mulch in exact size gradations from find sand-like textures to 3″ nuggets.
Rubberific’s factories utilize the safest, non-toxic colorants and UV inhibitors to achieve vibrant, long-lasting colors that won’t fade or leach. Our innovative designs for pavers, edging and borders are created from flexible, durable recycled rubber that withstands weathering. We hand assemble and finish many products to uphold our commitment to premium quality.

Our Materials
At Rubberific, we transform discarded tires into innovative landscaping solutions. Our products are manufactured using 100% recycled rubber from American tire recycling programs. On average, our rubber contains about 80% post-consumer tire rubber and 20% pre-consumer recycled rubber from the tire manufacturing process.
